Hot stone massage therapy melts away tension, eases muscle stiffness, decreases pain, and increases circulation and metabolism. The heat quiets and relaxes the entire body, is efficient, nontoxic, and promotes sleep.
CranioSacral Massage - Migraine relief, headache ease, chronic neck and upper back pain relief, and quieting of the central nervous system through gentle balancing of the bones, tissues, and fluids that protect the brain and spinal cord.
Myofascial Massage - Relieves muscle tension, increases joint mobility, improves posture, eases headache and back pain by improving blood flow, and releases the fascial connective tissues that hold the body together.

Dr. Katie, our Naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist, uses deep tissue, trigger point, fascia releasing, stretching and Asian techniques in the body work and follows it up with 25 minutes of stress-busting full-body healing acupuncture.
Karen Cwynar, BS, LMT, developed her therapeutic massage skills over 15 years working in a clinical health care setting. She uses a combination of techniques to ease pain, improve muscle function and joint mobility, and enhance relaxation and overall energy balance. Her approach to massage focuses on myofascial techniques—using slow sustained engagement to melt muscle and connective tissue as well as neuromuscular, deep tissue, and traditional Swedish massage. She also incorporates CranioSacral therapy, which is a non-invasive, light-touch approach to gently reduce tension in the cranium (skull) and central nervous system. She became a fan of massage therapy more than 20 years ago when regular massage work helped her relieve chronic headaches and shoulder pain. She considers each client to be unique and believes she works with our clients as a team to improve health and well-being.
